Macc Links was a bespoke project for the Macclesfield 1261 Festival in 2026. Our event took place in the Town Hall and during the day discovered the links that Macc people have with the rest of the Uk and around the world.

People chose thread colours and attached them to two enormous textile maps to show where they had family connections or had lived previously themselves.

​

Lots took photos and sent them to relatives. As the day passed,  the maps got covered in threads and everyone realised how wide our connections stretched.
